Laura Paarman

Art Therapy Assistant

Laura (she/her/they/them) is our Art Therapy assistant for Finding Wellbeing in the Kids Art Studio group here at Yellow Gum Studio and is a final year Masters of Art Therapy student. Laura has personal connections to disability from within her family experience and this informs her passion and valuing of working with community, the therapeutic benefits of human connection and embracing the diversity of human creative expression.


Laura has completed a BA (Psychology), Grad Dip (Psychology) and will soon complete a Masters of Art Therapy to become a Registered Art Therapist. Additionally, Laura is an experienced disability support worker and currently completing a 550 hour Art Therapy student placement at a school for students with disability needs.


In her spare time Laura loves getting out and connecting with others and nature, music and playing with her dog Dimmi.
